SHEMAR’S EARLY POEMS “OH FATHER”

OH FATHER

I feel your presence,

But I cannot see you.

You’re my reflection in the mirror

But I do not recognize you.

In my dreams, you’re my friend

I awake only to recall a stranger.

When asked to identify yourself,

You reply that you’re my wings.

I cannot fly…

Your voice calls out my name.

I am compelled to say hello,

But you do not answer.

What do you want with me?

The man in the glass begins to fade.

Suddenly, I know his face.

Please stay…

Don’t say goodbye again.

  3. i LOVE WHAT U HAVE WRITTEN EVEN THO I AM A FEMALE. I LOST MY DAD AND TO THIS DAY STILL CRY AND MISS HIM SO MUCH. U SEEM LIKE A MAN IN TOUCH WITH HIS FEELINGS. THATS SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF. THERE IS MORE TO U THAN A HANDSOME FACE AND A WONDERFUL BODY. THANK GOD FOR THAT BECAUSE THAT CAN BE TAKEN AWAY. KEEP TRUE TO WHO U R IN UR HEART AND SOUL.

What a beautiful poem you have written. I certainly understand and can relate to every word, I lost my father when I was seven years old and 36 years later there hasn’t been a day that has gone by that he still isn’t on my mind or dreams. On a brighter note I have watched you since your Young & the Restless days and you have grown and flourished into a beautiful talented man we all now see on Criminal Minds. You seem very humble, don’t loose that or ever forget who you are inside. I bet all of that came from your lovely mother and I can see why you adore her. She raised a beautiful young man inside and out..so big shout out to your mother. I wish you nothing but the best in everything you do Baby Boy. ~Margena B~

I was just laying in bed, surfing as I’m sure most people do…I came across your poem….read it, thought about your words then re-read it…the first time I read it I thought what a beautiful and sad poem, when I read it the second time I came to the conclusion that there is also happiness, comfort, love and admiration..I was moved by this poem very much. Thanks for the little insight into your soul :)

Beautiful poem! I’m printing it out for my two boys who are now 16 and 11. My late husband and their father passed away 7 years ago. It’s been a difficult journey but we are resilient. Recently my 16 yo has been more open with me about missing his father so much and not having a father figure. As much as I try to be both mom and dad, I know I can never replace him or take away his pain. It’s heartbreaking for all of us. I thank you for this touching poem.

  8. I am old enough to be your mother and would be as proud as I am sure your mom is. Your poem is beautiful! My daddy was my best friend and I lost him when I was 25 and then lost my mom 5 years later. Anyone who has their parents and/or grandparents when they are into their 30’s should consider themselves very lucky. All that I see in you and your ways on Criminal Minds, I would like to believe is how you really are and it is because you were blessed to have at least one parent to help you grow. Stay real and may God bless you and your family and all your endeavors. I feel blessed to have the feeling I have met you and that you are as you portray with ‘Penelope’ and your team. I wish you all the love and luck you deserve… right up there with the timeless Denzel Washington

Dear Mr. Shemar “Baby Boy” Moore,
Allow me to preface this by telling you … I want NOTHING
monetary, material, or romantic/intimate from you … merely your
friendship! Now, I understand you surely don’t read, write or post
everything you do …regardless, I HOPE this gets to you!
In following (NOT cyber-stalking you) you and your posts and all, I
would just love to form some kind of communication with YOU!
    Please understand … I am 44 (and a half ~winks~), never been
married and never had (it was God’s will, that I never could have)
kids! I appreciate your talents as well as your dedication you do …
Be it, acting, fundraising, helping those less fortunate than yourself,
to the way you love, dote on, support and take care of your Mother!
    You are a TRUE gentleman!
I simply adore your BG line .. I want to get something, ANYTHING
and be your BG of the gay … you don’t even have to post me or
    anything! lol
I just think you are great at all you do and would LOVE to have you
in my life as a FRIEND! I am on a VERY fixed income and I take
care of my Mother as well (and MAN0MAN does she LOVE her
some YOU!!). She’s quickly going blind, deaf, has an abdominal
aneurysm and is told she is too old for the hip replacement she
desperately needs. I also have a host of medical issues, but that is
neither here nor there! I wrote a little something … I can HOPE YOU
get to read it! God Bless and LIVE YOUR LIFE EVERYDAY AS IF IT
    WERE YOUR LAST!!

    ♥1 love♥,

Very sweet poem. I know what it’s like to not have your biological father not be a part of your life growing up. Only to seek me out when I was an adult and he was in stage three of lung cancer. Just like you I express myself on paper. You should share more someday :)

This is such a beautiful poem. I myself love writing poems. It’s a release for me and it lets me put my feelings down on paper where it will be immortal.
